Things I have been up to:

I walked across the stage and hummed "Pomp & Circumstance." Photos to follow.
I read The #1 Ladies Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith, and loved it. I am now trying to pass it off onto family members, assuring each that they will feel the same way.
I got a promotion at work! I am leaving the phones! I no longer have a permanent shift at the restaurant! My feet thank me!
I am listening to Tears of the Giraffe, also by Alexander McCall Smith, on the front desk computer at work. It is the sequel to The #1 Ladies Detective Agency. I am trying to make my way towards The Kalahari Typing School for Men, the fourth in the series.
I am ALSO listening to Wuthering Heights, by Emily Brontë, on the other computer I use at work. I chose this because I never have to answer a phone, so I don't get interrupted and I have no problem focusing on what is going on in the story.
I have been packing! Moving in just about a week.
I watched The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and finally Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest .

I LOVE ALEXANDER McCALL SMITH! I actually taught "Morality for Beautiful Girls" to my freshmen this year (bad idea, it turns out. His quiet humor doesn't click with pimply teenage boys-- which, if I'd not been blinded by my own love for the series, of which I own all seven, I'd have realized). His other books, though, reveal him to be a real dyed-in-the-wool conservative. Call me-- I'm FREE!

Awesome, I always appreciate a book recommendation! I'll add it to my ever-growing stack of books to read.

Sorry, that last comment was from me, Emily. Something weird happened.
