Why don't I feel better? I feel like I should feel better now - relieved - but that is not the case. I still feel like it's a necessary thing, just not good.

The thing is, love has nothing to do with logic. That's why you still need time to grieve over an ending even if you know it was necessary and that you will be better off.

I'm sorry it ended, though. That's tough at any time. When I was packing to leave my ex-husband's house, I would burst into tears, bawl my eyes out for ten minutes...then blow my nose, wipe my eyes, and get on with packing. Make time for grief but don't let it stop you in your tracks, is what I'm trying to say....

Much love to you, Corley. I hope you're hanging in there, and I'm sure that you'll pull through intact to the place where you best should be. Just trust yourself and be patient with all the great contradictions of emotion that follow anything truly difficult. You'll make it! And you're in my thoughts...
