The Past Week Has Sucked

In the past week:

The concert I was supposed to take my little sister to was 18 and up, but was changed to all ages an hour before it was to start while I was on the phone trying to get a refund, 40 minutes from home where my tickets were. We did not go.

My car was broken into and I waited 6 hours at work for APD to show up.

I got a speeding ticket in Maypearl, TX.

My Waco Weekend was great. I went to Dallas this weekend and had a really good time. I helped Ex. #1 with a catering run today and stood inside a condo so nice that I have only seen comparable living spaces on TV. Their refridgerator has a clear glass door, all of there counter-tops were marble, they had a built in expresso machine and furniture so perfect that I wouldn't have wanted to sit on it. This condo was owned by the kind of woman who owns 40 champagne flutes. The woman spent $700 on brunch for her daughter who had been married the night before. If you invite 40 people to the morning after brunch and spend $700 on it, how many were at the wedding, and how much did you spend on it?

Ex. #1 and I cracked up last night while in bed. We had watched the Chappelle's Show season 1 DVD and it's out takes. There is an outtake scene from "Mad Real World" where Chappelle is in front of a green screen cracking jokes about I don't even know what. Ex. #1 and I are laying in bed talking with only a green bulb lit so that we can find our way around but are not blinded by harsh light. Suddenly in the middle of some very sentimental conversation he begins to laugh and at first I was offended but he explained that the green light behind my head had reminded him of the skit and that it was why he was laughing, so we began to imitate Chappelle. I laughed so hard I cried. I don't mean my eyes watered - I cried. I love him, we have so much fun together.

We also began a search for apartments that accept pets. They are not hard to find, but the deposits are a little high, and finding rent to suit my style is tricky. We still haven't decided what to do with Faux Pas. I may see if I can leave him here and basically "lease" him out until I finish school so that I have a slightly high income and can afford board and a new car that can drive me out to see Faux Pas without breaking down.

I had no idea he could come! But we're boarding him at Doggy Day Out for the night, I think he'll have fun. I'm so excited for you..which anniversary is this? We MUST have a doggie play group. *Sam
