Note found on my phone from 12/3/22

 The other day I was driving and I thought “If I wanted to be a songwriter I think I would know that I want to be a songwriter by now.” It felt like that’s an identity you have. I am a maker and I have always wanted to make things and it’s part of my identity, and I guess I felt that ‘songwriter’ felt the same way. So I just said, “OK I’m never going to write any songs,” and I was very OK with it. 

Just now in the car I thought “I want to write MY OWN song.” Well, fuck.
