There is some sort of genius at work here

 I just had to go to the grocery store at 12:30 am - the eve of Thanksgiving - because I am supposed to take a squash casserole to my mom's tomorrow, and I like to wait 'til the last minutes to realize I have ruined a recipe.

 I messed up on so many more levels than ever before. I was supposed to start out with 5 lbs of squash, but I bought 1 1/2 lbs instead? Second mistake - I added a 1/4 tablespoon of pepper instead of a 1/4 teaspoon. I also completely forgot to add salt. What the hell is my problem? Normally I am a good cook!
 The only thing that I can think may be having some affect on this outcome is that I have never eaten or seen this dish before. Not even a picture! My mom requested that I bring it. So, here I go again, this time I'll try and do it right.
