Last night Casey called me to tell me he was coming home a day early to beat traffic, and he asked me to wait for him to get home to get dinner. Once he got here he asked if we could eat at Kerbey Lane, because he really wanted gingerbread pancakes. So, off we went. After dinner he asked if we could wait a second, because he didn't feel like driving just yet, and we stood outside the restaurant smoking. "You know," he said, "I've had a lot of time to think about this, and I had thought of a bunch of great things to say, but right now I can't think of any of them. What I do know is that I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else, I want to spend it with you, so..." and he pulled out a little box, down on one knee, "Will you marry me?" I giggled, I kissed him, and of course, I said yes.

Kerbey Lane is where we had our first date. When we got home there was a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and a rose waiting, and we watched Labrynth, just like the night we met. It was awesome. I am giddy like a little girl with her first boyfriend.

I'm so happy for you! I had to bounce up and down and squeak a couple of times after reading this. Scott and I were hoping this would happen. And he did it right, too! Hooray!!

Hey Corley,

I got kind busy when I was in town for Turkey Day. I had to drive down to Houston for a few days to hang out with Kate's family.

Congratulations, I'll buy you a drink over Christmas if you are in town and you can tell me all about it. Big smiles for now.
