Texas Flood

Well there's floodin' down in Texas
All of the telephone lines are down

Well there's floodin' down in Texas

All of the telephone lines are down
And I've been tryin' to call my baby
Lord and I can't get a single sound

Well dark clouds are rollin' in
Man I'm standin' out in the rain
Well dark clouds are rollin' in
Man I'm standin' out in the rain
Yeah flood water keep a rollin'
Man it's about to drive poor me insane

Well I'm leavin' you baby
Lord and I'm goin' back home to stay
Well I'm leavin' you baby
Lord and I'm goin' back home to stay
Well back home I know floods and tornadoes
Baby the sun shines every day

We have had a severe storm every night since Thursday. Part of my fence is missing. My horse is a nervous wreck from lack of exercise. I'm tired of hail damage, downed tree limbs, and lack of power. I like rain and all. I like green grass. I even like low hay prices (hay prices are currently astronomical. A year ago a bale of coastal [low nutrition, used mostly as a filler/roughage] was five dollars. Now they are selling cheap at eight dollars.) I am tired of 90 degree days with 70% humidity.

Just give me a week of dry Texas weather and then give me all the rain all you got.

Hey! We played that song at the party on Saturday. It was very appropriate and a big hit.
